typography

What I believe is the strongest part of my artwork is the "hair" of the person I did. its is more lined out than anything else in the picture. I could've improved on filling out the empty spaces more and making the words more visible. I used the "text" tool in order to create the words. I also used the pen tool to outline the person I was trying to trace. The easiest part of this project as the typing and the selection of the fonts and colors. the difficult part was trying to fill in the empty spaces. it was hard so I kind of gave up easily.
I met the goals that my teacher wanted me too meet for this project but I didn't meet my goals. I could've put more thought or effort into every little detail into this picture. if I could rate myself on this project it would be a 7, I didn't reach to my full potential. if I could do this gain, I would just fill it out with more words and colors.

polygon portrait

The strongest part of my artwork is the background of my picture. it makes the photo of myself stand out more and it compliments the skin tone of the portrait. I could've done a better job on my face. I could've put my effort into making it look more "real". I used the pen tool a lot. I created the different triangles with the pen tool, and I outlined my body and everything else. I also used the paintbrush and the fill tool, to color in the picture.
The easiest part of this project was the coloring. I got to pick the colors I wanted to used and fool around with different shades. the hardest part was trying to create colors that correspond to each other. I cant make each triangle the same color or the picture would look weird. if I could do this project again, ii would manipulate the pen tool more than I did in this project. I would create the round edges that the picture had, instead of making everything straight. I would rate my art work an 8, because I know I could've done a lot better than I did here. other people would look at my artwork and think 10, but I know my ability.

cartoon

The strongest part of my photo are the backgrounds. I believe all three of them are so different, but they compliment each other. I think I could've improved the color variation in my art piece. I realized I used a lot of blue. I used the paint brush mixer a lot. I chose a bunch of similar colors and mixed them together to give the shirt a more real look, as if there was a "light" shinning on it. I also mixed a little bit of my pants. In the actual picture, my pants were wrinkly, so I put a darker blue where the wrinkles were, too make it look more realistic.
The easy part of this project was, coloring the picture, because that's where you don't really have and "rules". you could get really creative and different. its like an experiment. the hardest part in my opinion was putting the back grounds in the picture. I wanted too combine my backgrounds at the edge of each one so it looked like one full picture. it was a lot harder than I thought. In order to complete this project (goal), I used some of my knowledge from the Photoshop app. I was new to Illustrator so I didn't know how to use it as well.
If I could do this again, I would be more creative with my colors. I would try to put a print on either the pants or my shirt. and I would define my face a little more, so that I would kind of be a "3D cartoon". I would rate my project a 7, because of my creativity but I know it could've been a lot better.

cheer polaroid

in my opinion, I don't really think there is a strong part in my art piece. if anything, it could be the quote in my picture. It gives a strong meaning to friendship. I could've improved on the cartoons in my picture and on my background. my background kind of clashes with my picture. I used the foreshadowing tool.
